We are busy getting the last of the popcorn ceilings removed, painting all walls and trim, updating some bathrooms and the kitchen. Here are some “before” pictures so you can understand how outdated it is. We wanted to list the house for sale by July 1 but I am thinking that is a bit unrealistic.
This used to be my son’s bedroom and his paint color choice. This is one of four rooms that we are removing popcorn ceilings, painting ceiling, walls and trim and installing new carpet.
This is the little vanity outside my bathroom. All we have to do here is remove popcorn, paint and update the top of the vanity. And new carpet.
The next (4) photos is what I call the little bathroom, located right next to the master bedroom.
Remove popcorn ceiling and wallpaper, paint, tile floor and new vanity. Easy, peasy!
My husband ripped out this old flooring and laid the new sub floor yesterday.
Here it is before we ripped the old vanity out. It was too cramped in their so we bought a smaller vanity.
This is one of our kitchen counter tops. Yup, an old recycled sign from the ski area I work at. Funny, the things you get used too. New granite counter-tops on their way!
Tomorrow I start a week of vacation. I plan on spending about 75% of that vaca working on the house. Hopefully, I will find the time to blog so I can share the progress.
Today I want to take a break from popcorn ceilings and painting to think about the future lake house. I have lots of photos that I have in lots of different places. I need to bring them all together. Here are a few.
This shows how the upper floor could stick out over a screened in porch on the bottom floor.
A prettier home – same concept – the attachment on left side is a garage.
This is a house that I really think could work. It has an add on that I don’t think we would need. My favorite so far.
